Opinions on this poem?
When I finally finish something I ask for advice. Opinions would be appreciated. Thank you!

in an endless field of sun kissed daisies
he plucks their petals on a lonely prayer
amongst an excess of true loves debris
his childish dreams are lost upon the air

he hums melodies of she loves me so
as he destroys the daisies with such ease
the fragile petals flutter to and fro
as their sturdy roots are broken by the breeze

dismembered dreams fence this weary lover
he casts another flower to his side
he picks another stem and dreams of her
in this field of flowers this young man hides

please, pale daisy; what do you have to say?
she does not love me, but will there come a day?

oh, I have woven daisy chains
and as I write this verse,
petals from the ringlet on my head
fall to the earth.
can we count on daisies, then,
to predict love’s uncrossed paths?
venus herself frowns upon this
do not incur her wrath
all been said, I wish the best
for your heart and all it’s travels
to fin a love which roots so deep
that it won’t come unraveled.

very nice poem- I keep forgetting what a good writer you are. I think blah blah blah distracts me…

I really like the imagery a lot.
But I have a hard time reading poems that rhyme (although that’s probably just me)
Maybe some some more adjectives? I don’t know. I really like it. Will you do mine?

My emotions affect my confidence, what can I do to control them?
If i feel accepted, happy or i feel people are truly listening to me, I will be confident. I’m braver, i have a spring in my step and feel great
If people cheat, mock, humiliate or let me down, (i am quite sensitive) I will be shy and unconfident. I will feel anxious, lonely and tongue-tied. Unfortunately, the latter happens most often, and I will be nervous and very quiet, my confidence shattered.
Ive tried to fool my brain with nice thoughts of people appreciating me etc, but its too clever. What can I do to be confident all the time, and not be controlled by silly emotions so much??

It happens to everyone, you are not alone. Just keep a straight face and try to be confident no matter what. It takes practice. I used to be really sensitive, but now I am a tough one mentally. Try talking to close ones who will listen and help, and not posting your problems on a computer.

I would just be myself and not let people’s reactions get to me, It may seem like something hard to do but it gets better. You should always say and do things with confidence and people will listen to you, because if you don’t people will lose interests and not listen. JUST HAVE CONFIDENCE IN YOURSELF NO MATTER WHAT!!! . :) nikleyrock | Oct 06, 2009

Dont listen to them! Who cares what they thing.. Start hanging out with new friends. The world is tough people will say hurtful things and you cant stop that its inevitable.. what you can do is not let it get to you ignore it.. why are you going to let someone else get you done. Show them it doesnt bother you and it will all stop and that will make them more angry. Dont pay attention to that drama.. Just forget about it and move on… Write in a journal or find a new hobby to give you a self esteem boost.. dont pay attention to people who mock you they are just jealous! lol laugh at them.. they are wrong.

develop a good mental picture of yourself before appearing to people by being ready to get used to their possible negative attitude towards you whenever you want to speak to them and simply get used to their unreliable dispositions. if you do what you ‘fear’ the death of ‘fear’ is certain.Experience more of it!

Lawman - DivX Version (Normal Quality), iPod/iPhone Version

November 15, 2009

LawmanLawman (1971)

IMDB rating: 6.70

Plot: While passing through the town of Bannock, a bunch of drunken, trail-weary cattlemen go overboard with their celebrating and accidentally kill an old man with a stray shot. They return home to Sabbath unaware of his death. Bannock lawman Jered Maddox later arrives there to arrest everyone involved on a charge of murder. Sabbath is run by land baron Vince Bronson, a benevolent despot, who, upon hearing of the death, offers restitution for the incident. Maddox, however, will not compromise even though small ranchers like Vern Adams are not in a position to desert their responsibilities for a long and protracted trial. Sabbath’s marshal, Cotton Ryan, is an aging lawman whose tough reputation rests on a single incident that occurred years before. Ryan admits to being only a shadow of what he once was and no threat to stop Maddox. Maddox confides to Ryan that Bannock’s judicial system is weak and corrupt, and while he’s doubtful that anyone he brings back will suffer more than the price of a bribe, he will not be deterred in his unrelenting pursuit of his duty. Initially Bronson appears willing to make concessions, but when his oldest friend Harvey Stenbaugh is killed after deliberately picking a fight with Maddox, Bronson digs in his heels with the rest of the town to resist the relentless lawman.

Who wrote this poem "two dead boys"?
i was just wondering cause i really like it. and i think i remember hearing it in a movie, but i dont know which one, i think it was a more recent movie.

One fine day in the middle of the night,
Two dead boys got up to fight;
Back to back they faced each other,
Drew their swords and shot each other.

A blind man came to watch fair play,
A mute man came to shout "Horray!"
A deaf policeman heard the noise and
Came to stop those two dead boys.

He lived on the corner in the middle of the block,
In a two-story house on a vacant lot;
A man with no legs came walking by,
and kicked the lawman in his thigh.

He crashed through a wall without making a sound,
into a dry creek bed and suddenly drowned;
The long black hearse came to cart him away,
But he ran for his life and is still gone today.

I watched from the corner of the big round table,
The only eyewitness to facts of my fable;
But if you doubt my lies are true,
Just ask the blind man, he saw it too.

I’m not sure who wrote it, but it was in the movie, A Haunting In Conneticut
