why should i upgrade my guitar?
so i’ve been playing for 4 months…i have play a squire bullet strat…i play a lot of trivium (metal) and i’ve been shredding a lot of solos as of recent…i want a schecter hell-raiser 7 string (jeff loomis signature)…which i will buy by the summer…
however im curious, what will the difference be?…i’ve notices when i hammer on and off, it doesn’t sound as crisp as it probably should…does upgrading the pickups etc really make that big of a difference?
for anyone who knows trivium, i can play kiristude gomen almost flawless (on a 6 string, i just bump each string up with standard tuning, just playing the B part on E and E part on A) and i play the solo at half speed…
im just wondering if im blaming my tools for me being not as good as i want..or if there really is going to be a difference when i upgrade my guitar

fluctuation in magnetic fields?
So I was listening to Limbaugh this afternoon (insert comments here), and his caller claimed to be a meteorologist who doesn’t believe in AGW. Ok fine. Now here’s the weird part, she said that she looked into it and concluded that if there was any fluctuation in temperature at the poles it was because of changes in magnetic fields.
Now I’ve heard of sunspots, volcanoes, planetary tilt all effecting the climate, but magnetic fields? Is that even possible? It sounds like psedo-science

I was doing vitals for this fat blob and she was about 1 foot away from me sitting (both of us), she coughed and i moved my head, immedietlay and got up to wash my face with anti-bactereal wash.

If you truly are a doctor’s assistant then you would prolly know that any cold or flu take several days to build sufficient numbers in your system to cause you even one symptom, so it’s not the ‘fat blob’ that gave you whatever symptoms you are having. Further, if you refer to patients like this, maybe you should look into another profession.

I can’t remember everything in it but I know there is someone who is finding out about all these deaths in a insane asylum and then to stop the hauntings has to bring a girl (can’t remember if she is old or young) back into the hospital and put her in this big white room with glass walls, she is strapped in a chair in the middle. Then later under the hospital a crazy lady is chasing very fast after the main character on all fours, including climbing up onto the walls and such. The place is dirty and filled with pipes.

Plot: A priest/a millionaire dies and leaves a diary and a casket containing a key. Another priest reads the diary and after visiting a deserted church discovers a large glass tube containing some kind of green swirling liquid locked away. The priest tells a Professor friend of the discovery and the priest, the professor and a couple of students stay in the church to research the tube. Their discovery leads to the fact that the tube contains the Devil’s son, and a prophecy that “when the sleeper awakens the son will release the father.” The tube is locked from the inside and the sleeper is beginning to stir. I think its God. Heres why, Satan is called the prince of darkness and was cast into hell, but God is over hell, therefore it makes him king of darkness and death.

I think my bff has an eating disorder, should I tell her family?
My friend and I are roomies and this is our first year in college. We both wanted to lose weight and I made it a contest, like biggest loser, till christmas who could lose more. We’re both big girls, around 5′8, she was 194 at the start and I was 179, so yeah we needed to lose. But she’s taking it way too far. She passed me up at last weigh in (weigh every sunday night) I’m 154, she was 152. This is all since the last week in august when we got here.
I’m happy with my loss but she’s totally changed, obsessed with losing and beating me. At first we did everything together, running, eating, but the last month she’s really secretive, running alone at night when it’s not even safe and she takes diet pills like candy. I never eat with her anymore or see her eat at all. She’s really withdrawn and cold.
Today I come from class and she’s lying spwaled on the bed. She had one leg in her sweat pants and the other was off like she was trying to put them on. She was totally out. Her mouth was wide open and I could feel her pulse was racing. I kept shaking her and calling her name and I got scared cause I don’t know cpr. Finally she woke but she was so disoriented and weak I gave her a candy bar and she actually ate it. She claims she was just napping but I think she fainted standing up to put her pants on. She would never take a nap with her pants half off like that.
Now at the last minute she says she’s not going home for thanksgiving. I think she doesn’t want to go to avoid eating. We live next door back home and I know her folks as well as I know my own. She hasn’t been home since labor day and she looks way different now. I mean, I guess she’s still technically overweight but she’s probably lost around 45 pounds in 3 months. She’s sullen, stays up all night watching tv, but won’t go out socially. All she does is jog. The diet pills scare me the most. Should I tell her parents I think something is really wrong? What should I do? I want my friend back.

i don’t know if it is an eating disorder, but i do know that it is competitiveness taken too the extreme. you have a right to be worried. loosing that much weight in that period of time is a bit excessive, and the fact that she lost consciousness half way through dressing shows that she is getting weak from lack of nutrition. diet pills are also a no, no, if you are not careful and following their rules to the tee.
i agree, i think its time you approached her parents. explain to them what you just wrote. approach them with the intent for them to just keep a close eye on her eating habits, try not to get them too stressed out by letting them think she has an eating disorder - if you come on too strong they may approach her before even seeing her daily routines. if they watch her, and they see the situation they will be able to assess what they want to do with her.

there’s always something you can do!
never give up! appeal to the children’s sense of love for their mother, and tell them they’re loved! they’re probably siding with him out of boredom or a desire to belong to something… even if it’s an evil vendetta. Get them involved and passionate with a healthy hobby, or anything else that could serve to distract them from whatever their intentions are…
Children are malleable. Which is how he has gotten them under his control. But it also means that there’s still hope!
