Thailand weather in early june?
Hi everyone im hoping some one out there will be able to give me an answer to this question so i can make my decision as you have probably guessed im planing to go to thailand in early june (Krabi & phi phi island to be exact) and from research i have found that this a wet season. I really dont mind few hours rain here and there but what i really want to know if im not walking in to a full on typhoon. From reading online i am getting mix signals some websites say its great time to go as its cheap and quiet and u get refreshing rain in the evening or night time but thats only for few hours and then sun is out again temp rising to 32c during day. But then there are other sites thats say that there is a high risk of flooding, heavy constant all day rain (sometimes few days in a row) and you cant touch the beach because its simply to windy and there is a fear of drowning. As you can see my dilema. I really cant decide if i should go and take a risk or just forget the whole krabi trip and go elsewhere ? What do you think i should do? Any info will be great thanks for reading and for the help in advance….

Game theory is basically decision making. It is -game- theory. It’s like playing a strategy game, except with risk and benefit as "numbers" (I don’t know if it’s that specific that you have to deal with numbers?).

A Beautiful Mind is about, basically, the creator of game theory and the Nash equilibrium, John Nash. The Nash equilibrium is the point at which both players (or all) get what they want, and get the best outcome possibly, by working together and doing what is best for themselves and the group. -Not- as Adam Smith said, one man working for himself serves the common good. Look at the prisoner’s dilemma examples, those are the most common examples used to explain game theory. It’s not a very complicated science, even though it sounds intimidating. After all, it’s a -social- science, heh.

Catch Me If You Can is also kind of game theory; it goes back and forth between the false check-writer teenager and the cop/agent chasing after him (I watched this a long time ago, I don’t remember the names, sorry!). It is like strategy; a cat and mouse game if you will. They are players in a game, and assess the risk of each move before making their next move. The check-writer plays a good game, and is a good strategist. He’s very clever, but in the end is caught. Here’s an example from the film that I remember that -kind of- illustrates game theory…

In the last scene the check-writer and the detective are inside a building in France, where the check-writer has fled. The detective tells the check-writer that he can either run and possibly be killed by angry French police that will pursue him, or he can go quietly with the detective, and possibly get better treatment, etc. Obviously, which would you choose? Which has less risk?

The neighbor in next door apartment has a piece of carpet in front of the door, it is rough cut with jagged edges, dirty and badly stained. my ancestors did not move to America until the early 1900s; they were germans from russia. they had no part in taking the land from the indians. they did not even speak english until WWII. millions of americans can say the same, and yet the ancestors of native americans blame all ‘whites’ for taking their land. just as some black people blame all white people for slavery. i don’t know about you, but my family never owned any slaves. my husband’s stepmom likes to tell how her great granddaddy owned one of the biggest plantations in alabama. now HER family owned slaves. mine never did. see the difference?
