November 17, 2009|
IMDB rating: 4.70 Plot: Earl and Hank have only one thing in common: they’re both L.A.P.D. rejects. One just got kicked out, the other can’t even get in. After confronting each other on opposite sides of the law during a traffic stop that escalates out of control, these two luckless individuals end up partnered as lowly security guards. Despite being damned to the lowest rung of the law enforcement ladder, Earl and Hank uncover a sophisticated smuggling operation led by Nash and his band of thugs. When Earl and Hank get their hands on some hot property, they go on the run from, first the bad guys, then the L.A.P.D.—led by Lt. Washington and Detective McDuff. What these two unlikely partners do to law enforcement is a crime, but they just might save the day. That is, if they don’t kill each other first. |

National security?
How is it a violation of national security to tell the American public about threats that other nations pose to this country when that country already knows if they are a threat?
I mean dont we deserve to see all the information that they are seeing in order for the citizens of this country to make an informed decision as to whether another country is truly a threat to this country?
Isnt’ our government suppose to be visible for all to see?
It just seems to fly in the face of reason that if a country is truly a threat to this country, then that country will already know they are a threat and any information the U.S. government gives the American public would only bolster their position and favor with the American people to go to war with that country.
LIsa–well, since the American public is ruled by emotions; aren’t they ruled by emotions now without knowing the facts behind this war (excuse me, I mean conflict)?
I should have made this clear that this statement is about Iraq. It can be about Iran also, however; I’m more cocerned about Iraq right now since we are embroiled in this conflict with them.
We are so deprived of information by the political system it’s pathetic. Will we ever receive the truth? Who knows. Should we hold our breaths while we wait for them to reveal the truth to us? Nah. We’ll end up dying of asphyxiation..

I disagree. People are ruled by emotions, and telling the public about all threats would do one of two things: we’d either become numb to all threats and not react when we’d need to or we’d be in a constant state of panic.
